Apple is rumored to be resuming the Made For iPhone (MFi) program, despite the likely move from Lightning to USB-C on the iPhone 15. Apple requires third-party accessory makers to pay a fee to gain certified access to certain parts and technologies, such as the Lightning connector . This system is called the Made For iPhone program and was supposed to disappear with the introduction of USB-C, but more and more reports indicate that this does not have to be the case.
