The Sistine Chapel in the Vatican is famous for Michelangelo's paintings on its ceiling. London has its own version of the Sistine Chapel, as the Painted Hall is called by many. It has a few centuries of history and there is a lot to be explored there. Next, we tell you 10 facts about the Painted Hall! 1- Sir James Thornhill was the artist responsible for painting the entire Painted Hall; 2- 19 years was the time it took him to complete the work, which was carried out between 1707 and 1726; 3- The Painted Hall is considered one of the most spectacular baroque interiors in Europe.
